At YouthServe, we believe young people aren’t just the leaders of tomorrow — they’re leaders today. For over 20 years, YouthServe has empowered thousands of youth across the Birmingham area to lead, serve, and make a positive impact. We are committed to forming young leaders who are aware of the needs in their communities; connected to a diverse group of peers and experts; and equipped with the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to make change happen. Now, we need your help to keep this mission moving forward.

Fuel the Future is a five-week fundraising challenge running from September 29 to October 31 with one big goal: raise $15,000 to power youth leadership.

Each week, a new “mission” unlocks — fun, creative challenges that give you exciting ways to participate while fueling real impact for our youth. Whether you’re donating or spreading the word, you’re part of the crew helping us reach mission success.

Weekly Missions

Week 1 (Sept 29 – Oct 5): Galaxy Guessing Game Challenge
When you donated $10 or more this week, you could guess how many Starbursts were in our mission jar. The closest guesser won the jar full of candy, plus a $20 gift card to K&J's Elegant Pastries!

Week 2 (Oct 6 – 12): Pie in the Sky Challenge
Giving $10 or more this week allowed donors to nominate a Youth Leadership Council member or YouthServe staff member to get "pied" in the face at our October 14 meeting! Stay tuned for a video of the fun.

Week 3 (Oct 13 – 19): Orbit Challenge
During this week, every donation helped move our rocket closer to completing its orbit around our $3,000 weekly goal!

Week 4 (Oct 20 – 26): Community Rocket Build
Every $100 raised this week uncovered one section of our rocket illustration. Our supporters could keep an eye on our social media to watch the rocket take shape!

Week 5 (Oct 27 – 31): Final Countdown
An anonymous donor has pledged a dollar-for-dollar match once we reach our campaign goal of $15,000! If we hit that target by this Friday, every dollar given will be doubled, turning your generosity into twice the support for YouthServe’s youth leadership programs.

This campaign isn’t just about raising dollars. It’s about fueling opportunities for young leaders to dream big, take action, and change their communities for the better.

Thanks to the generosity of past supporters, youth have been able to lead incredible service projects, build connections across neighborhoods, and discover their own power to create change. Now, with your help, even more young people can step into leadership and grow through YouthServe’s programs.
